The days are getting longer and hotter!!! We are finally seeing fresh foods that are the color of the rainbow SHOWING UP IN OUR GROCERY STORES AND AT ROADSIDE STANDS. Add fruits and veggies from each color of the rainbow to your family’s meal plan every day. Aim for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet (REMEMBER THE NAME “ROY G BIV”).
Remember — aim to eat every color of the rainbow every day. Ask your child what favorite fruits and vegetables they like from each color of the rainbow! And don’t forget to let them help make these sweet treats with some of their favorites!
